As a Front Office staff member, you play an important role in our office and perform a wide range of responsibilities, to include:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Verify insurance for all clinical appointments.
- Collect all monies due for services rendered.
- Develop and maintain doctor/hygiene schedules as necessary.
- Greet and check patients in and out, before and after treatment.
- Educate, consult and present patient treatment plans.
- Responsible for Account Receivable to include, sending of billing statements, aging reports, and collections, if applicable.
- File insurance pre-determinations.
- Conduct financial consultation with patients when new treatment plans are presented, as applicable.
The Sterilization Technician performs sterilization according to OSHA standards, infection control, organization, inventory of supplies and back up seating of patients.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using ADA protocols.
- Prepare trays with standard dental equipment to ensure effective patient turnover.
- Observe and maintain all OSHA guidelines and standards.
- Responsible for all dental instruments being cleaned, stored and sterilized using autoclave.
- Operating, monitoring and cleaning of sterilization equipment.
- Perform daily and weekly infection control test to ensure optimum sterility.
- Periodontal charting for hygiene, as needed.
- Ability to learn how to do xrays.
Perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
- Assist patient from waiting room, through dental procedure and back through check-out process.
- Sterilize instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials.
- Assist Dentist during procedures.
- Communicate with patients.
- Record treatment information in patient records.
- Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.
- Expose dental diagnostic x-rays.
- Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
- Clean and polish removable appliances.
- Assist other clinical staff during any down time
As a Practice Manager, you will ensure the efficient running of a fast-paced dental office and lead a successful team that consistently meets and exceeds patient, practice and the organization’s expectations. Here's what you'll do:
- Conduct regular staff huddles; foster open communication, provide organization and practice updates and continually challenge and develop staff.
- Stay current with the lastest OSHA, HIPAA and ADA regulations.
- Build and nurture a positive working relationship with the doctors and staff.
- Help build new patient growth by supporting marketing programs.
- Ensure that the practice is meeting financial goals and formulate plans to mitigate areas of concern.
The Dental Hygienist is responsible for reviewing medical history, dental charting, x-rays, performing periodontal therapies, educating patients, sealants, fluoride application, and other hygiene related services.
